Ella Green's PledgePage- Fight against Breast Cancer

Thank you so much for visiting my site! As many of you know, I have been dedicated for a great number of years to the fight against Breast Cancer. We are all somehow connected to this disease, and we can all do a part in fighting it.

In 1986, I started working for Amoena Corporation and learned a great deal about how Breast Cancer affects so many lives. Amoena, founded by Jolly & Cornelius Rechenberg, was a company dedicated to helping women enjoy fuller lives after Breast surgery. I participated in may walks, runs and 24 hour relays on behalf of women and the Amoena name.

After we lost my Aunt in 1999, I wanted to do more. In 2000, I signed up for the Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day walk in Atlanta. What an incredible challenge this was! The walk is 60 miles (from Lake Lanier to Piedmont Park) over 3 days. Many of the walkers are Breast Cancer survivors and are the driving force behind the walk. I was, and continue to be so impressed with these women, the battles they have fought and are still out there pushing their will even further!

I completed the Atlanta Avon Breast Care 3-Days in 2001 and 2002 also. Over the years, I estimate that I have raised nearly $10,000.00 for the fight against Breast Cancer.

In 2003, I will be traveling to Los Angeles to complete this years Avon Crusade Walk for Breast Cancer. I NEED YOUR DONATIONS!

I have a fundraising goal of $3,000.00 this year. I hope you can help! I will only ask you for any amount you can contribute.. nothing more. The contributions are tax deductible too!

Please feel free to send information about my site to anyone on your email list! I had contributions sent in last year from all over the southeast.. people who did not know me personally, but felt strong enough about this cause to support my efforts. I hope you will too!

The Los Angeles walk is in September 2003, I will take contributions until the end of July!

Thank you all so much!

Ella
